The list of potential careers in systems engineering is extensive and includes the fields of engineering management, cybersecurity, power engineering, biomedical engineering, software engineering and many more. Defense and aerospace industries and research branches depend heavily upon systems engineers. The automotive industry also employs many systems engineers because of the inherent need for system integration and packaging within a vehicle. Essentially, systems engineers are highly sought-after in industries that require multiple specialists to execute large projects, particularly integrating subsystems in an overall project.
