Texas Systems Day

Texas Systems Day is an annual, one-day event promoting interaction between researchers in Texas who are working in the areas of systems, controls and robotics. The signature event features an invited plenary speaker from outside of Texas and two or three faculty speakers from each of the participating Texas schools presenting their research. Students are encouraged to present their research at the poster session held at the end of the day. Participating universities have previously included Rice University, Texas A&M University, Texas Tech University, University of Houston, The University of Texas at Arlington, The University of Texas at Austin and The University of Texas at Dallas.

The inaugural Texas Systems Day on March 28, 2014, was hosted by Texas A&M. UT Dallas hosted the event in 2015 and 2017 and has sponsored faculty and staff who have attended the event across the state in other years. More than 100 faculty, students and researchers have attended each year UT Dallas hosted.
